First off, we were not greeted and made it halfway through the restaurant searching for someone before the singular staff member made an appearance. It was downhill from there. The menu talks a big game about how their burgers essentially come out mooing if you order anything but well done, but that's definitely not the case. I ordered a "red" medium, and got tough, chewy, gray/brown well done. The waitress didn't even check on us before the person I was dining with finished his meal, let alone return to the vicinity of our table. I don't like to make a scene so I ate the fries and the bacon and about four small bites of burger while I was trying to convince myself it was palatable, ultimately sent the rest back when the server assumed we wouldn't want a box for the burger. They charged us for both plates!!! On top of that, service was generally slow, awkward, and ultimately very rude at the end. You might need a new wait staff :) This was 11.15 around lunch time with the younger of two people working, for reference.
good service..good food..bit small though so get here early
The best unique, delicious, dining experience around, and on the airfield! Can't be beat
We went for the first time ever today after a friend told me it would be a fun adventure because my son loves planes so much. He and I arrived at 1:35 on a Sunday. After seeking out a place to leave our names (thank goodness for the kindly folks who told us to walk into the middle of the restaurant to find the hostess/name taking person), we asked for a seat near the window and were told we'd need to wait a little longer, no problem. We waited 30 minutes, then the hostess walked by to seat someone else and asked what our names were again. 15 minutes later I went up and asked how much longer, she said soon. While we waited she sat a group who arrived after us at a table in the area we requested, she made eye contact with me and said "oh I'm cleaning your table now" --. We were finally seated, ordered immediately and got our food, after yet another long period of time, just before 3 pm. That's a lot to endure for a good view and burgers (the burgers were tasty though!). If I did not have my airplane-obsessed son with me, we would have left after the initial 30 minute wait. Not awesome.
Great food! Love watching the planes take off and land. My favorite was the Autumn Squash Apple cider soup. Yum!
