Oh this place is great!! A huge system of trails - you could walk for hours, and might, if you don't pay attention to the trail markers! Wide trails, peaceful forest, friendly people, friendly dogs. It's also a great place to bike, as many do, and if you feel like a hiker, side trails will take you right up the hill. Us flatlanders prefer to walk around. Loses on star because not all trails are marked.
Great place to walk. I walk my dog here a lot. Lots of other friendly people and dogs. Great spot to check out the Assabet River. Sometimes the mosquitos are fierce at certain times of the year. Parts of the trail are stroller friendly!
Great place for a short hike and some easy mountain biking.
A choice of pretty trails of different distances. Good for taking kids and especially for walking dogs.
Huge, well maintaned but i simply rank 4 out of 5 as I was hoping for a tad more of a challenge cardiovasculalry. So from my personal trail taste perspective, it was slightly shy of making it be a 5 star choice. But they do a good job preserving and whipping visitors into green shape. Clearly its respected by regulars.
