Extremely long lines and wait time to check out. Like half on the time I spend shopping there is now waiting in a line since they got rid of self checkout.
Them getting rid of self-checkout shows what a fundamentally screwed up company they are. Instead of hiring a loss prevention person for their store (God forbid they open a non-minimum wage job in our community) they chose the cheap route and got rid of self-checkout to prevent theft. Screwing over the honest customers because they couldn't do the responsible thing and properly staff their loss prevention office.
Nice staff. Tons of options. Pretty good muffins. I love my muffins!
I used to work in loss prevention so I know the signs of a messed up LP corporate culture. They are passing off their losses to YOU, the customer. Enjoy the wait times. I'll shop elsewhere.
Awful supermarket, 3rd world produce section, meat smells rotten and they often do not stock basic items they get 2 stars because the steak tips are ok.
Poor selections for diabetics, gluten free diets. They are easily one of the most expensive food marts in the area. Not responsive to suggestions and treat their help poorly. Support better places like market basket.
We shop here often because of the convenience factor. I'm frequently disappointed with the food they carry. I often pick recipes only to find they don't carry or are out of stock of half the things in my list. I spend most of my time there googling for substitutes to items I thought would be there. I've found the prices to be pretty good compared to other stores in the area when in comes to boxed, bottled or canned goods.
